The Invitation to Life in the Kingdom

Jesus is not an aloof, apolitical Savior, blind to the real world that is burdened by countless powers competing for our devotion. Rather, Jesus came to bring the Kingdom of God right into the midst of the clashing kingdoms of our world. In this time of political and social discord, we are invited to follow our Lord and King into God’s Kingdom of peace, joy, and justice in the Holy Spirit. How might we grow in faithfulness to our King as we join with Jesus in longing for God’s Kingdom to come on Earth as it is in Heaven?
