On Easter Sunday, we gathered to celebrate the risen Christ. This year we considered three great hopes of resurrection. First, Jesus is with us in our suffering. Second, God’s kingdom is present and available here and now, and finally, one day God’s kingdom will arrive in its fullness, God will make all things new and everything sad will become untrue.
Kingdom Practice
This week, would you consider continuing with the practice of scripture meditation? If one of these verses we offered (Psalm 23:4, Colossians 1:13, or Revelation 21:3-4) was meaningful, you can stay with it. If another verse is helpful, wonderful. But could you make five or even ten minutes a day to sit with the passage? We know in our world that values variety and endless choice, sticking with one passage for an extended period might seem unusual, but what might God have for us, if we stay with a single passage for an extended time?
If you have a story to share about how you have been encountering God in this season, we would love to hear it!
If The Practice Church has been meaningful to you, would you consider supporting the work of The Practice Church with a tax-deductible gift?
If you are committed to being a part of the local Practice Church community, would you take a moment to join the Core Team?
If you would like to stay up to date on The Practice Church, join the Practice mailing list.
